Dehradun. Apart from the people stranded in Kedarnath valley, the Uttarakhand government has also taken care of hungry and thirsty animals. Fodder for horses and mules was sent by chopper. Arrangements for fodder etc. for animals are also being made at the Chirbasa helipad.
After the disaster, there was a shortage of fodder for the hundreds of horses and mules present here. Following the government’s instructions, fodder was delivered to the mute animals by helicopter.
After the disaster, the routes were blocked at about a dozen places on the Kedarnath Dham route. These horses and mules take the devotees to the temple on this route.
The Veterinary Department has delivered four and a half tons of animal feed via helicopter to the horses and mules stranded on the travel routes. Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Ashish Rawat said that four and a half tons of animal feed has been delivered so far to the Cheerbasa helipad for the animal keepers of the Gaurikund area.
