UP Police Constable Exam: The dates of police recruitment in Uttar Pradesh have been announced. In a release issued by the police, it has been told that the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has decided to conduct the written examination for Direct Recruitment-2023 for 60244 posts of Constable Civil Police on 23,24,25 August and 30,31 August 2024.
It has been said in the release that it is to be informed that this examination was cancelled earlier. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh had directed that this examination should be conducted again within 06 months keeping in view the highest standards of purity and transparency. This program has been announced by the Uttar Pradesh government in the commitment to conduct this examination according to the highest standards in a fair and transparent manner within a fixed time frame.
Information has been given by the Police Board that in order to conduct the selection process in a transparent and fair manner, detailed guidelines have been issued by the Uttar Pradesh Government on 19.06.2024 for various arrangements related to the examination such as preparation of the examination, selection of examination centers, verification of candidates, prevention of impersonation etc. This examination is being conducted according to all these standards.

In the release, it was informed that it is noteworthy that the Uttar Pradesh government has notified the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance-2024 (Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 6, 2024) dated 01 July, 2024 to prevent unfair means in public examinations, such as leaking of question papers, tampering with answer sheets, etc. This Act provides that under this Act, using unfair means in the examination, copying or causing copying, cloning or revealing or conspiring to reveal the question paper, etc., come under the category of crime, which is punishable under this Act. In such cases, there can be a fine of up to one crore and punishment up to life imprisonment, both.
The written examination for “Direct Recruitment 2023 for 60244 posts of Constable Civil Police” will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on the above mentioned dates. There is a gap in the examination due to Janmashtami festival. This examination will be conducted in 02 shifts daily on the said dates and about 5 lakh candidates will appear in this examination in each shift.
Candidates appearing for the said examination will have the facility of free bus service of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. Candidates can take advantage of this as per their convenience, for which candidates travelling by bus will have to download two additional copies of their admit card and present one copy of it to the bus conductor for travelling to the district of the examination centre and the other copy for travelling to their district after the examination.
