UP NEET PG Counselling 2024: Round 1 registrations to end today

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh is set to officially conclude the NEET PG Counselling 2024 round 1 registration process today, September 28. NEET-PG 2024/NEET-MDS 2024 qualified candidates who have not yet registered for the state-level counselling process to secure seats in postgraduate medical courses can do so through the official website (upneet.gov.in). The registration and fee payment window will remain functional till 5 PM.

Registration Fee

Candidates registering for the counselling will have to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹3000 irrespective of their category. It must be noted by the applicants that they will have to pay the fee only once for all three rounds. However, they will need to make a fresh payment of ₹2000 for the stray vacancy round.

The counselling process includes several rounds, followed by a stray vacancy round. Post completion of the registration process for the first round, DMET will prepare merit lists for shortlisted candidates who will be eligible for online choice filling.

The merit list for the DNB/MDS candidates will be prepared based on their All-India NEET rank, whereas, for MD/MS/Diploma candidates the list will be prepared providing weightage to In-Service (PMHS) candidates as per provisions of ‘Govt No-I/687326/2024, dated – 09/07/2024’.

After successful registration and choice filling, the seat allotment results for Phase 1 will be published. Candidates must report to their allotted institutions within the specified timeline, failing which their seats may be forfeited.
