UP Love Jihad News: Now the Yogi Adityanath government has become more strict regarding love jihad in Uttar Pradesh . The Yogi government has introduced the UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion (Amendment) Bill in the Assembly. Under this, now there will be life imprisonment for ‘love jihad’. The government has doubled the punishment for many crimes.
According to sources, the bill related to this can be passed in the UP assembly on Tuesday (30 July). New crimes have also been included under love jihad. It is being told that in this bill, preparations have been made to bring funding for illegal religious conversion under the ambit of crime under the law.
The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh made a law against love jihad for the first time in the year 2020. Now to make this law more stringent, an ordinance was introduced in the assembly on Monday (29 July). Till now, a provision of 10 years of punishment was made for those found guilty under this law.
Under the Yogi government’s bill against love jihad, if religion is changed just for marriage, then it will be considered invalid. Along with this, if religion is changed by deceiving or lying in this case, then it will be considered a crime. If someone wants to change religion voluntarily, then in such a situation he will have to inform the magistrate about this 2 months in advance.
