Udaipur: In a government school located in Bhattiani Chohatta of Surajpol police station area of Udaipur city in Rajasthan, a student was seriously injured in a stabbing incident between two students of class 10 on Friday. According to the information received, after an altercation between two students of class 10 in Government Higher Secondary School Matiyani Chohatta, one student stabbed his classmate Devraj. After the incident, the accused student fled from the spot. However, after this incident, tension has increased in the area. After this, the administration has imposed Section 144. It is being said that the protesters have set many vehicles on fire.
After the incident, there was chaos in the school and the school administration immediately informed the police about it. Seriously injured student Devraj has been admitted to Maharana Bhopal Public Hospital for treatment. Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Ojha said that the police is trying to arrest the accused minor. The injured student has been taken to the hospital. The police is investigating the matter. said that the injured student admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the district hospital is a Hindu, while the accused is a Muslim. Immediately after the incident, members of Hindu organizations gathered in the Madhuban area of the city and protested. The reasons for the incident are not yet known. The accused has been arrested.
Police said that the angry mob set fire to three-four cars parked in a garage and pelted stones. Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said that additional police force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order. He said that the accused has been arrested. District Magistrate Arvind Poswal said that the injured student is undergoing treatment in the hospital. He appealed to the people to not pay heed to rumours and maintain peace.
