The trace of Samej village in Rampur of Shimla district has been completely erased. According to the information, the heavy flood that came on the night of 31st July swept away the entire village. There were about 15 houses and a primary health center in this village, which were swept away by the flood caused by the cloudburst.

Vipin, a resident of Samej village, said, ” This entire Samej village was in Shimla district. There were about 15 houses here, which were washed away in the flood. Apart from this, there was also a primary health center here, but that too was completely washed away in the flood, now only one house is left here, in which Anita used to live. “

Anita said, “She ran towards the forest with her children on seeing the disaster on the night of 31st July. Where she spent the whole night with her child. As soon as the youth working in the hydro power project came running, she also ran towards the forest with her children. Due to which the lives of 11 people were saved. They saved their lives by staying in a Mata temple throughout the night. Now only one house is left at that place, which is safe” .

At the same time, the village head said, ” This is a very sad incident. He had received information about this on the night of July 31, but he reached here in the morning. During this time he saw that in Samej village, where earlier people’s houses and farms used to be, they were washed away in one night. The entire area of ​​Samej village turned into mud and rocks . “

Let us tell you that on the night of 31st July, cloudburst caused devastation in Samej village of Rampur in Shimla district. 36 people went missing in this disaster. Out of which 33 people were from Shimla district and 3 people were from Kullu district. No trace of them has been found yet. At the same time, teams of administration, SDRF, NDRF are engaged in searching for the missing people. Dog squad has also been brought to the spot today. A temporary bridge has also been set up by the battalions for the rescue operation.
