Gurugram: Under the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign was launched in the Municipal Corporation Gurugram area on Tuesday. In the presence of Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr. Balpreet Singh in the corporation office, officers, employees and Swachhata Brand Ambassador took the oath of cleanliness.
On this occasion, the Additional Municipal Commissioner said that different activities will be organized under the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign from 17 September to 2 October. The theme of the campaign this time has been kept as ‘Swabhaav Swachhta, Sanskar Swachhta’. He said that everyone should include cleanliness in their nature and culture and contribute to making the surrounding area and city clean like their home. He said that if a person spreads garbage in a public place, stop him from doing so and request him to throw the garbage only at the designated place. He said that till 2 October, the campaign includes adopting garbage vulnerable points and ensuring cleanliness there, organizing awareness programs, plantation, waste to art, clean food street work etc. A mega campaign will be run on 1 October.
