1. As soon as the solar eclipse is over, the entire house including the puja room is cleaned with Gangajal.

2. After that all the family members take bath and wear clean clothes. They clean the old clothes.

3. After the solar eclipse is over, all the gods and goddesses in the puja room are bathed and their clothes are changed. They are worshipped, food is offered and Aarti is performed. The negativity of the eclipse is removed by ringing the bell and conch.

4. After performing the puja, you should donate wheat, red clothes, red fruits, red flowers etc. as all these items are associated with the Sun God. Rice and white items are donated during lunar eclipse.

5. You should cook or eat food only after the eclipse is over. Be sure to add basil leaves to it. Pregnant women should throw out the astrological remedies they have used for the safety of their child from the house.
