Paris Olympics bronze medalist shooter Sarabjot Singh has rejected a government job. Ambala resident Sarabjot was offered the post of Deputy Director in the Sports Department by the Haryana government. But he does not want to accept this post and get a government job.

Sarabjot Singh says that “The job is good and it is not a matter of accepting the job, but I will not do it right now. I want to work on my shooting first. My family is also telling me to do a good job, but I want to do shooting right now. Sarabjot said that, I do not want to go against some of the decisions taken by me, so I cannot do the job right now.”

Won bronze medal with Manu Bhaker

In the Paris Olympics, Sarabjot Singh played a role in getting India its second medal. Sarabjot along with Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team shooting event. After this victory, Manu Bhaker created another new history. Manu Bhaker became the first Indian player in the history of independent India to win two medals in a single Olympics. Before this, no Indian had been able to do such a feat in the Olympics.
