Siddique made a decisive move as the special investigation team proceeded with the steps to arrest him in the rape case. The current decision is to approach the Supreme Court. It is reported that Siddique’s vehicle was spotted in Alappuzha last night. Police searched for Siddique in major resorts and star hotels in Alappuzha. The car was spotted in front of Pancha Nakshatra Hotel in Punnamada.
There were plans to surrender late last night as it was assessed that there would be a backlash if the Supreme Court was approached with the judgment of the High Court. After this, the decision to approach the Supreme Court was taken. Thiruvananthapuram Museum Police has reached Kochi as part of the search for Siddique.
The final decision was to file a petition in the Supreme Court through a senior lawyer in Delhi as a last resort. The lawyer in Kerala has also taken steps in this regard. A copy of the judgment was sent to the lawyer in Delhi. The move is to raise issues including the recent complaint filed in the Supreme Court regarding the incident that happened years ago. Siddique’s son had a late night meeting with lawyers in Kochi.
