Pune. Manorama Khedkar, mother of former IAS trainee Pooja Khedkar, was released from Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail. She had got bail from the Additional Sessions Court of Pune. Manorama was arrested last month by the Pune Rural Police on charges of threatening a local farmer. A video of this incident also went viral. A case was registered in this matter at the Paud police station.
UPSC has cancelled the candidature
The Union Public Service Commission has cancelled the candidature of Pooja Khedkar. She will not be able to appear in any examination of the commission in future. Action has been taken against her after checking the documents. Pooja has been found guilty of violating the provisions of CSE-2022.
What is the matter?
Pooja Khedkar has been a trainee IAS officer of the 2023 batch. She is accused of misusing the certificates of Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Divyang quota in passing the UPSC CSE exam. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had filed an FIR against Pooja. She was also issued a show cause notice.
