Polls

Voting has been done on 90 seats for Haryana Assembly Elections-2024. With this, the fate of the candidates has been captured in the EVM. The election results will be out on October 8. Earlier, the results of the exit polls have come. According to these figures, Congress seems to be ahead in the state. Meaning, the BJP government will go from the state.

Data from different institutes and survey agencies suggest that Congress may get a big lead this time, while the position of BJP seems to be weakening. There is no special hope for Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) either.

Congress leads:

According to all exit polls, Congress is in the strongest position. The figures of C Voter, Bhaskar Reporters Poll, Republic-Matrix and People’s Plus are giving Congress an estimated seat count between 44 to 62 seats. It is clear from this that the position of Congress is much better than other parties.

C Voter: 50-58 seats
Bhaskar Reporters Poll: 44-54 seats
Republic-Matris Exit Poll: 55-62 seats
People’s Plus Exit Poll: 49-61 seats

BJP is expected to suffer losses.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been in power for the last two elections, may face a big challenge in the exit polls this time. In all the survey reports, BJP’s seats are being estimated to be between 18 to 32, which is much less than Congress.

C Voter: 20-28 seats
Bhaskar Reporters Poll: 19-29 seats
Republic-Matris Exit Poll: 18-24 seats
People’s Plus Exit Poll: 20-32 seats

INLD and JJP’s position

is weak. The situation looks very weak for Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). INLD is expected to get a maximum of 6 seats, while JJP is expected to be limited to a maximum of 3 seats.

INLD (Bhaskar Reporters Poll): 1-5 seats
INLD (Republic-Matriz Exit Poll): 3-6 seats

JJP (C Voter): 0-2 seats
JJP (Republic-Matriz): 0-3 seats

The situation

is not much better for other parties in Haryana, but they are getting an estimated figure of 2 to 14 seats in the exit polls.

C Voter: 10-14 seats
Bhaskar Reporters Poll: 4-10 seats
Republic-Matriz Exit Poll: 2-5 seats
People’s Plus Exit Poll: 3-5 seats

Overall, the exit polls show that this time Congress is in a strong position in Haryana and can return to power. On the other hand, BJP may have to face losses. At the same time, the position of JJP and INLD seems to be getting weaker than before. However, it will be known only after the election results are declared on October 8 in whose favor the public’s decision goes.

In Haryana, BJP and Congress contested the elections alone. Dushyant Chautala’s JJP contested the elections in alliance with Chandrashekhar’s party Azad Samaj Party Kanshiram (ASP). Apart from this, Mayawati’s party BSP and Om Prakash Chautala’s INLD were in the fray together. Apart from this, Aam Aadmi Party was in the fray alone.
