Khanna : 21-year-old Gurdeep Singh Mana was killed by attacking him with an iron rod in a fight after a pigeon-flying competition in Khanna’s village Ikolaha. In this case, the police arrested Punjabi singer Kuldeep Singh Vicky alias V-Deep. But his son Daman Aujla is still absconding. There is a demand for the arrest of the Punjabi singer’s son. In this regard, the family once again staged a sit-in outside the SSP office.
The deceased’s grandmother Mukhtiar Kaur said that Gurdeep Singh was murdered on 23 June 2024, but no concrete action has been taken yet. She told that the deceased’s parents have died, after which she raised the child alone. Now Gurdeep Singh was working to support his family. The accused made the family helpless by killing him. Along with this, the police did not take any concrete action even in one and a half months. The accused son is being protected, they will leave after getting justice.
Hari Singh, the cousin of the deceased, said that the police had assured to arrest the accused son Daman within 5 days of the murder, but even after one and a half months, no action was taken and they had to sit on a dharna. When the dharna was held recently, the police asked for 5 days and ended the dharna at midnight. The culprit has not been caught till date, now they will not end the dharna.
