Nepal Helicopter Crash: A helicopter crashed on Wednesday (7 August) in Shivpuri National Park in Nuwakot, outside Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. According to AP report, all five civilians on board the plane have died in this accident.
Local media reported that the helicopter had taken off from Kathmandu and was heading towards Syaphrubensi. A spokesperson of Tribhuvan International Airport informed that the plane took off from Kathmandu at 1:54 pm on Wednesday (7 August) and met with an accident before reaching its destination.
Four Chinese citizens died
According to Nepal Police, four Chinese citizens have also died in the plane crash. It was told that a total of five people including four Chinese citizens were on board the 9N-AJD helicopter of Air Dynasty. After getting the information about the accident, Nepal Police immediately reached the accident site.
Contact was lost after three minutes
News agency PTI quoted My Republica newspaper as saying that police recovered and identified five bodies from the accident site in ward number seven of Shivpuri Rural Municipality in Nuwakot. Several reports also said that the Air Dynasty 9N-AJD helicopter lost contact three minutes after takeoff.
