With this match, Keshav Maharaj broke Hugh Tayfield’s record. Maharaj took 171 wickets in 52 matches in his Test career. He made his Test debut against Australia in 2016 and has made significant contributions with his bowling so far. Keshav Maharaj has now become the highest wicket-taking spinner for South Africa.

He also bowled brilliantly in the second innings and took three important wickets including the last wicket, which decided the result of the match.
