The health department team from Joginder Nagar has reached the spot. The name of the deceased is Arun Sharma who used to work in a shop in the market here. Arun was suffering from symptoms of jaundice for the past few days. The family kept getting him treated in a private hospital and from local people. When there was no improvement in Arun’s condition, the family brought him to Tanda Medical College yesterday, where Arun died during treatment.

CMO Mandi NK Bhardwaj has appealed to people to wash their hands thoroughly before eating and drink boiled water. If symptoms like jaundice are seen, he has advised the public to come directly to the hospital instead of getting exorcised by the local people. This will help the person get the right treatment on time. Let us tell you that jaundice spreading in Joginder Nagar is proving to be fatal. Last week, 19-year-old nursing student Shilpa died of jaundice here.
