An 80-year-old woman died on the spot while three others were seriously injured when a speeding Scorpio hit an auto at village Machibughra on Ferozepur-Ludhiana road this afternoon.
On this occasion, according to the Sarpanch of village Machibughra, Yadvinder Singh and the police investigation officer, the auto was going from Talwandi Bhai Wali towards Ferozepur, when a speeding Scorpio coming at a short distance from Machibughra hit the auto. Due to which Gurdev Kaur, age 80 years, wife of Kabal Singh, resident of Machibughra, who was riding in the auto, died on the spot. While the auto driver Pappu and another person were injured, who were taken to Faridkot for treatment. Talwandi Bhai police reached the spot and started further investigation.
