New Delhi: GD Goenka University, Gurugram, Haryana has pledged to provide scholarships worth Rs 1 crore to students excelling in sports if javelin throw champion Neeraj Chopra wins gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The final of the men’s javelin throw event is scheduled for Thursday and all eyes are on Chopra. Everyone hopes that he will win the gold medal.
Nipun Goenka, Managing Director, GD Goenka Group, said, “Our Rs 1 crore scholarship in honor of Neeraj Chopra’s potential gold medal win at the Paris 2024 Olympics aims to support and inspire the next generation of sports stars.”
