
Chandigarh: Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Maintenance Command (MC) and Smt. Ritu Garg, President Air Force Family Welfare Association (Regional) [AFWA(R)] concluded their three-day visit (from 01 Aug to 03 Aug 2024) to 3 Base Repair Depot (3BRD), Air Force Chandigarh here today. This is their first visit to Chandigarh after taking over the command of the technology-oriented Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force at Nagpur.
Air Commodore Rajeev Srivastava, Air Officer Commanding, Base Repair Depot Chandigarh briefed them about the various activities taking place at 3BRD.
Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg visited various repair, overhaul and training facilities and also reviewed the progress of production of aircraft and aero engines at the depot. He stressed on keeping pace with new technological advancements, performing duties efficiently and setting high efficiency standards. He encouraged all air warriors to maintain physical fitness, mental agility and be safety conscious for operational readiness.
Mrs Ritu Garg visited the events organised by AFWA (Local) and interacted with the Depot Sanginis. Mrs Nitika Shrivastava, President AFWA (Local) briefed her about the various initiatives of the Depot towards improving the lives of Air Force personnel and their families.
During this, the AOC also visited the Indian Air Force Heritage Centre in Sector-18, Chandigarh.
