An incident of firing has come to light in the District Court of Chandigarh in which the father-in-law, who was a former AIG, shot his own son-in-law. The son-in-law was an IRS officer. After this incident, there has been a stir in the whole city. After getting the information, the police reached the spot. The police has taken the accused into custody. The father-in-law fired 5 shots one after the other at his son-in-law, out of which 2 bullets hit him. The police has started investigating the whole matter.

According to the information received from the police, Harpreet Singh had reached the District Court of Chandigarh. Harpreet Singh was posted at the post of IRS in the Agriculture Department. He was having a divorce case with his wife. His father-in-law, suspended AIG Human Rights Malvinder Singh Sidhu, had also reached the court during the hearing. During the hearing in the court, talks were going on between the two parties. Meanwhile, the accused father-in-law said that he wanted to go to the washroom.

Bullets fired in the court corridor

When son-in-law Harpreet told his father-in-law that he wanted to go to the washroom, he said, “Come, I will show you the way.” Then both of them left for the washroom and the accused father-in-law Malvinder took out a pistol and fired 5 shots one after the other. Two of these bullets hit Harpreet. Two bullets were fired randomly and one bullet got stuck in the back door. After the sound of the gunshot, there was a commotion in the entire court premises. The lawyers present there came running and locked the accused father-in-law in a room.

He died while going to the hospital

The lawyers immediately picked up the injured Harpreet and brought him out, after which an ambulance was called and Harpreet was taken to Sector 16 hospital. However, Harpreet died on the way. The doctors declared Harpreet dead. The police was informed. The police reached the spot and took the accused father-in-law into custody and collected the available evidence. After the accident, the judge present in the court premises also reached the spot.
