Ludhiana: Farmers have issued a warning to continue the agitation against the harassment of Ladowal toll plaza. In fact, Punjab head of BKU Doaba Manjit Singh Rai and head of Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union Punjab Dilbagh Singh Gill and Indra Veer Kadia said that the organization of Bharatiya Kisan Union is going to hold a huge meeting in Nurpur Bet on August against the harassment of the country’s most expensive Ladowal toll plaza located on the National Highway.

He said that the National Highway Authority has started the toll plaza without fulfilling any of the demands of the farmer organizations, but till the National Highway Authority does not accept the demands of the farmer organizations, the farmer organizations will continue their agitation. Manjit Rai and Dilbagh Gill said that Ladowal toll plaza is the most expensive toll plaza in the country where people are being looted. At this toll plaza, the toll administration is also harassing the people and farmers and using foul language.

He told that the farmers who are leaving the toll plaza for the march are being harassed by the toll plaza officials and toll is being collected from them. He told that earlier at all the toll plazas, the farmers were turned away after checking the cards of the Kisan Union organization. He told that on August 10, all the organizations of BKU will hold a meeting at 11 am in Gurudwara Sahib in Noorpur Bet, after which the further strategy will be announced. He told that till the National Highway Authority does not find a solution to the increase in toll rate, the organizations will continue their struggle like this. Pradhan Rai and Pradhan Gill told that they have got many such documents of the toll plaza on which many shortcomings of the toll plaza are becoming apparent. During this meeting, the head of Malwa Zone Indraveer Singh Kadia, Surendra Singh Pawar, Jaspreet Singh Gill, etc. were present.
