Chandigarh: The date of election for the post of President of Himachal Mahasabha, Chandigarh has been fixed as 1st September. Shivinder Mandotra has been appointed as Election Officer for this election while Santosh Bhardwaj will assist him as Assistant Election Officer. Shivinder Mandotra said that voting for the election will be held on 1st September at Shri Muni Mandir, Sector 23. He said that nomination papers will be available at House No. 5507/2, Modern Housing Complex, Sector-13, Manimajra only from 10 am on 1st August to 2 pm on 14th August while members willing to contest the election can also download the nomination papers from the website of Himachal Mahasabha www.himachalmahasabha.com and the last date and time for submitting the nomination form has been fixed at 5 pm on 14th August.
In case of an election, voting will be held from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm while in case of a single nomination, there will be no voting and the result will be declared on September 1, 2024 at 10 am.
Shivindra Mandotra said that according to the eligibility criteria to contest the election of the president, the candidate should be a member of Himachal Mahasabha, Chandigarh for at least three years and there should be no outstanding amount in his account on the date of filing the nomination.
