Chandigarh: The Punjab School Education Department is building indoor shooting ranges in 10 districts of the state. This information was given here today by Punjab School Education Minister Mr. Harjot Singh Bains.

Giving information in this regard, Mr. Bains said that these indoor shooting ranges will be established in Sangrur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Amritsar, Rupnagar, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Hoshiarpur, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Mansa, where players will be able to practice 10 meter shooting.

The Education Minister said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuously making efforts to make the state of Punjab a leader in the field of sports in the country and the world and taking a step in this direction, sports culture is being encouraged in the state through Khedan Watan Punjab Diya.

He said that while the Punjab government has felicitated the sportspersons who brought laurels to India in various competitions, they have also been given jobs in the police and civil administration.

He said that world class facilities and coaching will be provided in the shooting range being set up. The first indoor shooting range will be ready in Anandpur Sahib in the next 3 months.
