Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the country’s budget for the 7th consecutive time in the Lok Sabha. This is the full budget for 2024-25, in which the Finance Minister has presented the blueprint of ‘Developed India’. The government has set 9 priorities for the budget, which focuses on farmers, employment and the middle class. For this, the government has also announced several new schemes.

This time the government has announced many schemes for employment and skill development in the budget.

  • Establishment of hostels and creches for working women
  • 1 crore farmers will be given support for natural farming.
  • 10 thousand bio input centers will be established.
  • Jan Samarth based Kisan Credit Card will be distributed in 5 states.
  • Centralized fertility centers will be built to increase shrimp production.
  • Provision of Rs 2.66 lakh crore for rural development.
  • For those who get a job for the first time, the government will transfer 1 month’s salary in 3 installments through DBT. Its limit is Rs 15,000.
  • To promote employment in the manufacturing sector, the government will provide EPFO ​​support for the first 4 years. This will be available to both employees and employers.
  • Employers will be given a support of Rs 3000 per month for contribution to EPFO ​​for the next 2 years on the recruitment of new employees. 30 lakh youth will benefit from this.
  • Under the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, a monthly allowance of Rs 5,000 will be given.
  • Development of Industrial Centre at Gaya on Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor.
  • The government is speeding up the work on Patna-Purnia Expressway, Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway, roads in Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Darbhanga and a new bridge over the Ganga in Buxar at a cost of Rs 26,000 crore.
  • The government will give additional assistance of Rs 15,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh.
  • More than 100 branches of India Post Payments Bank will be established in the North-Eastern states.
  • Under the Mudra Scheme, the loan limit was increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
  • A loan guarantee scheme will be introduced for MSMEs in the manufacturing sector. There will be no need for guarantee for loans up to Rs 100 crore.
  • Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0, one crore families will be provided housing with an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore.
  • The government will introduce an interest subsidy scheme for affordable loans for urban houses.
  • A provision of Rs 11.11 lakh crore has been made for capital expenditure.
  • The government will launch the NPS Vatsalya Yojana. Grandparents will be able to open NPS accounts for their grandchildren, which will automatically be converted into an NPS account when the children turn 18.
