Mumbai: Veteran singer-producer Dada Satram Rohra has passed away. The film legend breathed his last on July 18. He was 85 years old. Dada Satram is best known for producing one of the biggest hits of all time, ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’. Satram Rohra’s 1975 film Jai Santoshi Maa was a landmark blockbuster. Rohra was a well-known name in the Sindhi community and was a producer and singer.
A radio channel has confirmed the death of producer Dada Satram on its Instagram page. Sharing the news of his death, the official note read, ‘We are deeply saddened to inform that the famous singer and film producer Dada Satram Rohra passed away on 18 July 2024. May God rest his soul in peace and give strength to his family in this difficult time.

Biography of Satram Rohra
Satram Rohra was born on 16 June 1939 in a Sindhi family. He made his mark in the industry as a producer and singer. He debuted in the film industry as a producer with Shera Daku in 1966. After that ‘Rocky Mera Naam’ came in 1973. After this he produced ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’, which was a blockbuster film. Apart from this, he also produced films like Jeetendra and Hema Malini starrer ‘Nawab Saheb’, ‘Ghar Ki Laaj’, ‘Karan’ and ‘Jai Kali’. Apart from being a film producer, he was also a singer. He gave his voice to some Sindhi tracks like ‘Jhulelal’, ‘Haal Ta Bhaaji Halu’, ‘Shaal Dhyar Na Zaman’, ‘Laadli’.
