Nandita Hooda: The Congress Party has always been dedicated to bringing half of the population into the mainstream and I believe that if women are treated as capable citizens and given equal opportunities in politics, they will definitely be able to play an important role in nation building.
I am happy to inform you that the All India Congress Committee has decided to prepare a team of women leaders at various levels of the party from booth to assembly in the state of Haryana, so that women can actively participate in the political activities of the party and strengthen the party campaign among women at the grassroots level.
For this purpose, Haryana’s state in-charge Mr. Deepak Babaria has given me the responsibility of coordinator in five Lok Sabha constituencies; Ambala, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Hisar and Sirsa, which include 10 districts and 45 assembly seats of Haryana. For this, I express my gratitude to the top leadership of the party and Babaria ji.
We will start our campaign from Karnal Lok Sabha from 6th August and will activate as many women as possible in each assembly and connect them to the organization so that they can contribute in reaching the party’s programs and promises to half the population through effective publicity.
These women will play an important role in the party in future. The sole aim of the Congress party is to provide a platform to these interested women where they can express their views and move forward in politics and contribute by joining the mainstream of development.
