Jind. CIA Staff Narwana Police has busted Ganja smuggling in two separate cases. In the first case, CIA Staff Narwana Police recovered 30 kg Ganja in Civil Line Police Station area. Based on the information received during interrogation of the accused, police arrested another big Ganja smuggler and recovered 800 kg Ganja from his possession. This action was taken in Narwana City Police Station area. The cost of Ganja recovered from Nasha Bazaar is said to be more than 80 lakh rupees.
According to the information, when the Narwana CIA team was present on Jind Kaithal Road, they received information that a young man is standing with ganja on the service road of the National Highway bridge near Haibatpur Road in Jind and is waiting for someone. On this, the police raided and caught Krishna Kumar resident Mirchpur. 30 kg ganja was recovered from him. This action was taken in the presence of Jind’s Naib Tehsildar Balram Jakhar. Civil Line Police Station has registered a case against Krishna resident Mirchpur under the Drug Prevention Act.
During police interrogation, Krishna told that he had bought this ganja from Sombir son of Yudhveer resident of Mirchpur.
From here, CIA staff of Narwana police started action against Sombir. Sombir smuggles ganja under the guise of farming in Chhattisgarh. He was preparing to go to Tohana via Narwana from Chhattisgarh. Police blocked the Mela Mandi road on the canal bridge and stopped Somveer’s tractor. The trolley was full of money and 72 sacks were kept on top of the paddy. 40 of these sacks were filled with money and 32 sacks were filled with ganja. These 32 sacks contained a total of 800 kg of ganja. Whose wholesale market value is estimated to be around 80 lakh rupees. Narwana police took this action in the presence of Uchana Tehsildar Nikhil Singla. Narwana city police station has registered a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act against Somveer son of Yudhveer resident of Mirchpur, presently residing in village Odka, police station Arang, district Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
