BJP Chandigarh Vows Zero Tolerance for Corruption, Rejects Costly Waste Management Proposal
Chandigarh, March 26, 2025 – Kailash Chand Jain, Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chandigarh, addressed party workers today, reaffirming the organization’s unwavering commitment to transparency and honesty. Speaking at the gathering, Jain emphasized that corruption at any level will not be tolerated, aligning with the party’s core policy of ensuring a clean and accountable administration. “The BJP government is dedicated to providing a corruption-free governance model for the people of Chandigarh,” he stated.
Echoing this sentiment, Sanjeev Rana, State Media Incharge, also spoke to the workers, underscoring the importance of maintaining discipline and transparency within the party ranks. “Our top priority is to build a robust and clean society,” Rana asserted, adding that strict measures would be enforced against any irregularities to uphold the party’s values.
The BJP’s firm stance against corruption was recently demonstrated in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. Under the leadership of State President Jitendra Pal Malhotra, the party successfully rejected a proposed Waste Management agenda during a Municipal Corporation House session. The agenda, put forward by officials, would have imposed a financial burden of crores of rupees on Chandigarh’s citizens without delivering tangible benefits to the city. The rejection of this proposal has been hailed as a vigilant move by the BJP, sparing residents from unnecessary economic strain.
This development highlights the party’s ongoing efforts to prioritize public welfare and fiscal responsibility, reinforcing its commitment to clean governance in Chandigarh.
