Regarding the encounter of gangster Anandpal, Jodhpur’s CBI court has accused the police officers under section 302. On 24 June 2017, Rajasthan SOG had encountered gangster Anandpal in Malasar village of Churu. Its hearing was going on in Jodhpur CBI court. Now in this case, the then Churu SP Rahul Barhat, then Additional SP Vidya Prakash Chaudhary, DSP Suryaveer Singh Rathore and Head Constable Kailash have been made accused. The court did not even accept the CBI’s closure report.

Gangster Anandpal Singh’s family members had challenged his encounter in the court, calling it fake. Meanwhile, CBI had submitted a closure report in the court in this case. In this closure report, the matter of fake encounter was denied, but Anandpal’s wife’s lawyer Bhavnar Singh Rathore argued that there were injury marks on Anandpal’s body. This clearly means that Anandpal Singh’s encounter was fake.

A case under section 302 will be filed against the police officers

Lawyer Bhavvar Singh Rathore said that he has read the CBI’s closure report on the Anandpal Singh encounter. The report clearly states that Anandpal Singh was shot from a very close distance. He said that after reading the report, it seems that the police first arrested Anandpal, then tortured him a lot. Then shot him dead. Also, this murder was shown as an encounter. The lawyer said that now the court has also ordered to file a case under section 302 against the police officers.

A case will be filed against these officials

Jodhpur ACJM, who is currently hearing the Anandpal Singh encounter case in the CBI court, has ordered prosecution against the then Churu SP Rahul Barhat, then Additional SP Vidya Prakash Chaudhary, DSP Suryaveer Singh Rathore, RAC Head Constable Kailash who were involved in the encounter.

When did Anandpal Singh’s encounter happen?

Anandpal Singh, one of the biggest gangsters of Rajasthan, was killed in an encounter on 24 June 2017. Anandpal Singh’s encounter took place in Malasar village of Churu district. At night, when everyone was preparing to sleep, the SOG team surrounded the house in Malasar village from all sides, in which Anandpal Singh was hiding. Seeing himself surrounded, Anandpal Singh started firing. After this, the police team also retaliated. There was heavy firing from both sides for a long time and finally SOG killed Anandpal Singh.
