Budget 2024: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the General Budget 2024 in Parliament. Bihar has received many gifts in the budget. Now a network of roads, electricity and railways will be laid in Bihar.
Nirmala Sitharaman told the Parliament that new medical colleges and airports will be built in Bihar. Along with this, Vaishali-Bodh Gaya Expressway has also been approved. A network of roads will be laid in Bihar with an expenditure of 26000 crores.
Patna-Purnia Expressway gets approval
Nirmala Sitharaman said that Patna-Purnia Expressway has been approved. A 2400 MW power project will also be set up in Pirpainti, Bihar. Along with this, the central government will also build two new bridges on the Ganga.
‘Purvodaya’ scheme will be launched
The Centre has planned to launch the ‘Purvodaya’ scheme for the all-round development of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The Finance Minister further said that the government is moving ahead with the construction of industrial corridors for development in the eastern region.
He said the government will also set up airports, medical colleges and sports infrastructure in Bihar.
