Chandigarh: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned to run a campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ on the occasion of Independence Day. Under this campaign, the BJP will distribute 70 thousand national flags door to door. This campaign will start from August 11 and all the Mandals of BJP will work to make this program a success. BJP workers will go door to door and distribute the tricolor and celebrate during the campaign.

BJP President Jatinder Pal Malhotra while addressing a press conference organized in this regard said, “We are all connected to Bharat Mata. On Independence Day we can encourage people to express their love through it. It is a symbol of our commitment towards nation building. This campaign will awaken the spirit of patriotism and promote awareness about the national flag.”

Party general secretary Amit Jindal has been made the convener of the campaign. While vice-presidents Shakti Devshali and Devendra Singh Babla will be co-conveners. State secretary Sanjeev Rana and Dr. Dharinder Tayal were also present at the press conference. Other leaders including Sonia Duggal, Parveen Narang Bunty, Abhay Jha are also part of this campaign.

The BJP president further said, “Extensive arrangements have been made for the campaign and different committees have been formed for different responsibilities. We have held several meetings to decide the responsibilities of different leaders and workers.”
