Arvind Kejriwal Health: On Thursday (25 July 2024), the Rouse Avenue Court extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till August 8 in the money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy. India Alliance will protest by holding a rally at Jantar Mantar on 30 July 2024 regarding the deteriorating health of Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal’s judicial custody extended

The court on Thursday extended the judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, BRS leader K Kavita and other accused in the case. The court has also directed Tihar Jail officials to present Delhi CM Kejriwal through video conference on July 31, 2024. The Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Kejriwal in the ED case, but he is currently in Tihar Jail due to his arrest by the CBI.

Aam Aadmi Party’s allegation on central government

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Narendra Modi -led central government of trying to harm the health of the Delhi Chief Minister in jail.

Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that CM Kejriwal has lost weight and his blood sugar level has dropped dangerously, indicating that he may face serious health problems including coma or brain damage.

‘Kejriwal is deliberately eating low calorie food’

On the other hand, BJP has alleged that Kejriwal is deliberately eating low calorie food to gain sympathy. BJP leaders claimed that Kejriwal eats his own food to gain public support. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has also alleged that Kejriwal is deliberately avoiding food and medicines prescribed by the doctor.
