On 8 August, wrestler Anshu Malik missed the medal while performing in her second Olympics. She would have entered the quarterfinal by winning this match, but she could not qualify. She lost badly to the USA player 7-2 in Paris Olympics.

According to the information, Anshu Malik is from Jind district of Haryana. She was born in the Jat Malik family. She comes from a family of wrestlers. She trains under the supervision of coach Jagdish at Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School. At the age of 9, Anshu Malik made her Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, but she was eliminated in the repechage round while competing due to an elbow injury. However, after this, in 2021, she showed amazing game and won the silver medal.
