A trainer aircraft of a private aviation academy crashed on an airstrip in Guna, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday (August 11), injuring two pilots. Guna Cantt police station in-charge Dilip Rajoria said that the two-seater Cessna 152 aircraft crashed around 1.30 pm, possibly due to engine failure, after being in the air for 40 minutes. Board the aircraft were injured and were admitted to a hospital in Guna, but both are out of danger. The official said that the aircraft had come to the district a few days ago for testing and maintenance. Captain VC Thakur and another pilot were injured. Academy officials along with Cantt police reached the spot. The aircraft was brought to Guna for testing and maintenance.

Cantonment Police TI Dilip Rajoria said that the crashed plane belongs to Belgaum Aviation. It was brought to Sha-Shib Academy for testing and maintenance. Both the pilots also came from Belgaum Aviation. The pilots reached Guna on Saturday. Both the injured pilots are said to be from Hyderabad. They left with the plane for a test flight. The plane is said to be from an institute in Karnataka.
