Ambala: Due to the rain in the city, the streets and roads of the city were completely submerged. Deputy Mayor Rajesh Mehta took stock of the situation on a tractor and talked to the people and got the closed flood gate of Banudi Naka opened and started water drainage. Due to which the water level decreased. During this, Deputy Mayor Rajesh Mehta also visited different areas of the city where the situation was also worse than bad. Deputy Mayor Rajesh Mehta said that the entire city is submerged and the elected representatives are missing from the city, they are relaxing in Chandigarh. They have no concern with the people of Ambala city. They have claims and nothing else. When the system is not being managed by such people, they should resign.
Deputy Mayor Rajesh Mehta said that water entered people’s houses. This is always the situation after a few hours of rain but no one from the government comes to take care of the public. When the situation worsens, they blame the officials and wash their hands off the matter. But now their lies will not work. The public has come to know very well that they love the chair and not the public. That is why they disappear from the public and relax in Chandigarh and the people of the city keep looking here and there waiting for help.
Deputy Mayor Rajesh Mehta said that if the public gives strength, the picture of Ambala City Assembly will be changed. Drainage system, cleaning system, connectivity of drains will be done with will power and the condition of the city will not be allowed to remain like this. The public will not be allowed to face problems.
