Aladdin on Sony SAB TV – Naam To Suna Hoga

Aamir Dalvi’s 3Kg headgear on Sony SAB’s Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga has a special place in his make-up room

Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga has bedazzled viewers with its majestic sets and regal costumes. Each episode is an epitome of magnificence and each attire carefully designed.

While Aladdin’s (Siddharth Nigam) Arabian look is made pitch perfect with the Arabic Fez on his head, Yasmine (Avneet Kaur) looks magnificent with the gold headdress adorning her. Another remarkable piece of design is the headgear worn by the Evil Wazir, Zafar, portrayed by Aamir Dalvi. Lending a hint of evil to his persona, the yards of fabric and the blue stones embedded in it make the headgear weigh over 3Kgs. A long robe, along with a gift all the way from Istanbul specifically for his character Zafar – a stunning blue ring – complete his look. The ring is very close to Aamir’s heart.

Commenting on the headgear, Aamir Dalvi said, “The heavy headgear is the character’s requirement. It gives Zafar that towering presence which makes him look like the devil himself. Wearing it while delivering my lines is surely a difficult task. However, the fact that it adds to the grandeur of my character, makes it worth it. It is so precious to me, that there is a special place reserved for the headgear in my make-up room.”

Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga is based on the traditional story of Aladdin with a contemporary twist, featuring actors who have gotten under the skin of their characters. Replete with drama, fantasy and a larger than life feel, Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga is a show that is surely delivering Sony SAB’s promise of happiness. Apart from Aladdin (Siddharth Nigam) and Yasmine (Avneet Kaur), the show also features key characters such as the evil wazir, Zafar (Aamir Dalvi), the selfish Chacha (Badrul Islam) and Chachi (Gulfam Khan), Yasmine’s parents Sultan Shahnawaz (Gyan Prakash) & Sultana (Yashu Dhiman) and Genie (Raashul Tandon).
