Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai late on Monday. The 73-year-old will likely have an elective operation on Tuesday. According to hospital sources, Rajinikanth who had allegedly complained of stomach ache, is stable. The celebrity’s wife, Latha, shared an update on his health amid growing worries.

Rajinikanth is doing well, his wife Latha said in an interview with CNN-News 18. ‘Everything is fine,’ she stated. Her brief but comforting words brought a sense of relief to Thalaivar’s supporters. Furthermore, rather than an operating room, the actor’s elective procedure will be performed in a cath lab.

Meanwhile, since last night, supporters have been sharing their worries about Rajinikanth’s health on social media, which has created a buzz. Many speculations were circulating on social media, so one person asked for an official update.

A similar health worry had caused Rajinikanth to postpone his much-anticipated political career debut in late 2020. He had declared the political party in December 2020, but that same month, he withdrew the announcement, citing the epidemic and health concerns. He underwent a kidney transplant as well in 2016. He was recommended to have a carotid artery revascularization operation performed at a private facility in Chennai in 2021.

Rajinikanth has been travelling for the filming of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Coolie. He met seasoned filmmakers SP Muthuraman and AVM Saravanan earlier on Monday; pictures from their encounter went viral on social media. In the meantime, Rajinikanth and Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel will work together on their first film, Vettaiyan. The film, which is supported by Lyca Productions and has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by SR Kathir, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.
