Vishnu Deo Sai Chhattisgarh’s New CM

Vishnu Deo Sai (born 21 February 1964) is an Indian politician and the current Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has held various positions in the party and government, including:

• Union Minister of State for Steel (2014-2019)
• Member of the 16th Lok Sabha (2014-2019)
• Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly (1990-1998)
• President of the BJP Chhattisgarh unit (2020-2022)

Early Life and Education:

Sai was born in Kunkuri village of Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh. He completed his schooling from Government High School in Kunkuri and graduated from Maharaja College in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Political Career:

Sai began his political career as a student leader and became involved in the BJP in the 1980s. He was elected to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1990 from the Kunkuri constituency and served as a member of the Assembly until 1998. He was appointed as the President of the BJP Jashpur district unit in 2002 and held the position until 2014.

In 2014, Sai was elected to the Lok Sabha (Indian Parliament) from the Raigarh constituency. He served as the Union Minister of State for Steel in the first Narendra Modi government from 2014 to 2019. In 2020, he was appointed as the President of the BJP Chhattisgarh unit.

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh:

In July 2023, Sai was chosen by the BJP as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. The BJP won the elections with a majority and Sai was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on December 18, 2023.

In addition to his political career, Sai is also involved in various social and charitable activities. He is the founder of the Vishnu Deo Sai Foundation, which works in the areas of education, health, and rural development.

Personal Life:

Sai is married to Kaushalya Devi and has two children.
