Chandigarh Police Busts Drug Racket, Arrests Two Accused
Chandigarh, February 2025: In a major breakthrough, the Chandigarh Police has busted a drug racket and arrested two accused, Dharmagya Tripathi (19) and Parshant Murare (32), both residents of Karnal, Haryana.
According to police, on February 10, 2025, a police party led by ASI Pawan Kumar intercepted Tripathi near the Garden of Fragrance in Sector 36, Chandigarh, and recovered 13.71 grams of ICE from his possession.
During investigation, Tripathi revealed that he had hidden cocaine balls and heroin in his flat in Zirakpur, Mohali. A search of the flat led to the recovery of 30 cocaine balls weighing 15.38 grams and heroin weighing 13.77 grams.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Parshant Murare, who was found to be in possession of 18 cocaine balls weighing 8.81 grams and heroin weighing 9.97 grams.
Both accused were produced in court and sent to judicial custody. The investigation is ongoing.
