
Union Minister of Jal Shakti and President of BJP Gujarat, Shri C.R. Patil Ji, addressed a press conference at the BJP office in Sector 33, Chandigarh, on the occasion of his visit to the city.
During the conference, Shri Patil Ji highlighted key initiatives and policies of the government, focusing on four primary areas: Agriculture, MSME Sector, Education, and Income Tax Slabs.
In the realm of Agriculture, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the sector through advanced irrigation projects and efficient water management systems under the Jal Shakti Ministry. These initiatives aim to improve crop yields and water accessibility for farmers.
Regarding the MSME Sector, Shri Patil Ji underscored its vital role in driving the nation’s economic growth. He outlined plans for enhanced financial support, simplified regulatory processes, and the promotion of technological advancements to empower small and medium enterprises, particularly in regions like Chandigarh. Avi Bhasin, Co-Convener of the Union Budget Cell, noted that the upcoming budget would be highly beneficial for the MSME sector, propelling small and medium industries to new heights.
In the sphere of Education, the Minister discussed government initiatives to upgrade educational infrastructure and expand access to quality education. He highlighted the National Education Policy’s focus on skill development and vocational training to better prepare the youth for the evolving job market.
Addressing public expectations from the upcoming Union Budget, Shri Patil touched upon potential revisions in Income Tax Slabs, aimed at providing relief to the middle class. Shri Rakesh Bhalla, Convener of the Union Budget Cell, elaborated on broader fiscal measures under consideration to stimulate economic growth and improve citizens’ standard of living.
The press conference concluded with a strong reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to holistic development across all sectors, ensuring sustainable growth and prosperity for all. Vishal Puri, Co-Convener of the Budget Cell, remarked, “This budget is very good and provides significant relief for the common man and retired individuals.” ¹
