Kochi: After the names of actor Srinath Bhasi and actress Prayaga Martin came up in the drug case related to Thiruvananthapuram gangster Omprakash, the police have decided to extend the investigation to the film sector as well. Kochi DCP KS Sudarshan says that the players named in the remand report will be questioned in connection with the case.
Interrogation will take place after gathering more evidence. DCP KS Sudarshan said that all those named in the remand report will be questioned. The remand report says that stars came to Omprakash’s room. Drugs seized from Omprakash’s room were sent for testing. Kochi DCP said that further action will be taken after the results of the inspection.
This is not the first time that Srinath Bhasi has been in the limelight. In September 2022, Srinath Bhasi was arrested in a case of insulting a channel anchor by using drugs. The case is that while giving an interview to a YouTube channel in connection with the promotion of the film Chattambi, the actor got angry at the anchor’s question and misbehaved with the anchor. Maradu police arrested Srinath on charges of insulting womanhood and indecent behavior. He was later granted bail.
In 2023, the producers came up against the actor. It was alleged that the producers are constantly creating problems. The main allegation was that the actor was reaching the set under the influence of alcohol. Then the producers’ association banned Srinath Bhasi. Several allegations have been leveled against Srinath Bhasi, such as signing multiple film contracts at the same time, causing loss to the producers, and the actor refusing to sign the Producers Association agreement.
