Chandigarh: The series of bumper joining in Haryana Congress continues. In this episode, today many leaders took membership of Congress along with thousands of their supporters. Today Krishna Kamboj (son of Shri Ramchandra, former MLA) from Rania (Sirsa), former district head and former state general secretary JJP Mohit Grover joined Congress. Grover got 48638 votes as an independent candidate from Gurgaon in the 2019 assembly elections. Along with them, retired IAS Vikas Yadav, Rajesh Kona (former chairman Zila Parishad, Panchkula) also joined Congress under the leadership of former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udaybhan. Hooda and Chaudhary Udaybhan welcomed all the leaders in Congress and assured full respect in the party.
Speaking to journalists on this occasion, Bhupendra Singh Hooda strongly condemned the action taken by the BJP government against Group-D employees. Hooda said that the employees had gathered in Panchkula to hold an anger rally demanding promotion and 1800 grade-pay. But the government detained thousands of employees and many leaders. A large number of women are also included among the employees. The agitators have also alleged misbehavior by the police.
Bhupendra Singh Hooda has termed this action as completely undemocratic. He said that the employees have been agitating for their demands for a long time. The government is constantly ignoring their demands. When the Congress government is formed in the state, the demands of the employees will be resolved and they will also be given the benefit of the old pension scheme.
