Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini made several big announcements for the commission agents. He announced to increase the commission of paddy from Rs 45.88 to Rs 55 per quintal. This decision will increase the commission by about 20 percent which is not being given in any state. He also said that the government will compensate the loss being suffered by the commission agents due to the shortage of wheat, for which he announced a compensation of about Rs 12 crore.

The Chief Minister made these announcements on Tuesday while holding a meeting with the members of Haryana State Anaaj Mandi Arhtiya Association and Haryana Rice Millers and Dealers Association at Sant Kabir Kutir (Chief Minister’s residence). The issue of shortage of wheat was raised by the commission agents in the meeting. The commission agents said that from the year 1966 till date, no government in the state has ever compensated for this shortage. This shortage is on an average 0.20 percent every year. The shortage in the last Rabi season was 0.28 percent. On this, the Chief Minister said that the state government will compensate the loss due to the increased shortage of 0.08 percent. The Haryana government will compensate the loss of Rs 12 crore due to this shortage.

The government will also give a bonus of Rs 10 on rice

Naib Saini said that the last date for delivery of rice to FCI for the year 2023-24 was 30 June 2024. Those who had given the supply till that day have been given a bonus of Rs 10 by the government. Many millers had problems in delivery this time due to lack of storage. Therefore, it has been decided to extend the last date to 31 August 2024. For this, the Central Government has been requested to extend the last date and it is expected that this approval will come soon. Therefore, a bonus of Rs 10 will be given by the Haryana Government on the rice given in July and August. The Chief Minister said that under making the state free from stray cattle, immediate cash payment will be made at the rate of Rs 600 per cow and Rs 800 per captive for catching a stray cow / Badra Baddi and bringing it to your cowshed. From among the stray animals caught, a subsidy of Rs. 20 per day will be given for fodder for a calf, Rs. 30 per cow and Rs. 40 per day for a cattle.
