Yamuna Nagar: In the presence of Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Dr. Sushil Gupta, councilor Ram Asra Bhardwaj left INLD and joined Aam Aadmi Party along with hundreds of his supporters. Dr. Sushil Gupta said that Aam Aadmi Party is the first such party in the country which does not differentiate between poverty and wealth. All the schemes of Aam Aadmi Party such as education, medical care, electricity, water and pilgrimage are free for all, rich and poor.
He said that for the first time in the country, such a government was formed in Delhi which told the shopkeepers and factory owners that you pay tax and you are partners of the government, that is why we trust you. This was the reason that Delhi’s budget increased from 20 thousand crores annually to 70 thousand crores annually. He said that Aam Aadmi Party, following the principles of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, gave priority to education first. 28% of the total budget of Aam Aadmi Party is spent on education. We believe that if India is educated, it will develop.
He said that when the country got independence in 1947, even then we were in the category of developing countries and even today we are in the category of developing countries. Kothari Commission had recommended the central government to spend 6% of the budget on education but it is sad that even after 75 years of independence, the central government spends only 2.7% of the budget on education. In such a situation, how will the country move forward.
He said that Aam Aadmi Party spends the second largest part of the budget i.e. 14% on medical treatment. Mohalla clinics are opened in every village so that people can get timely treatment for their initial illness. Even after 75 years of independence, women have not been able to achieve equal status. Therefore, Aam Aadmi Party has made bus travel free for women in Delhi. So that they can find employment for themselves and join the mainstream of the country.
He said that there are not even 10% working women in India. If they need anything, they have to beg in front of men. So Aam Aadmi Party decided that every woman above 18 years of age in Delhi and Punjab will be given a honorarium of Rs 1000 per month. Aam Aadmi Party is implementing many such schemes in Delhi and Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party has also given five guarantees for Haryana. Whatever Aam Aadmi Party is doing in Delhi and Punjab, those works will be done in Haryana too if the government is formed.
