In fact, this will be Sitharaman’s seventh consecutive budget as Finance Minister and it includes six full budgets and one interim budget. In this way, Finance Minister will surpass the record of Morarji Desai. He had presented 5 annual budgets and one interim budget between 1959-1964.

If reports are to be believed, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman can change the tax rules in the budget coming in July. Till now, people earning Rs 3 lakh do not have to pay any tax and this exemption limit can be increased to Rs 5 lakh.
