Bulandshahr: In Bulandshahr, UP, a car carrying devotees going to take a holy dip in the Ganga suddenly caught fire. All the devotees in the car were burnt in the fire. They have been admitted to a higher centre hospital for treatment.
The devotees were going to take a bath in the Ganga at Jahangirabad in a Maruti van from Kakriya village of Jahangirabad police station area. The car suddenly caught fire near Jahangirabad. The fire caused chaos at the spot. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. After which all the injured were immediately sent to the district hospital. Seeing the critical condition, the seriously injured devotees have been referred to a higher center. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
The relatives of the devotees, Sheeshpal Sharma of the village, said that four girls, four women and a young man were going to take a bath in the Ganga in a car. The accident happened on the way in which nine people were injured. It is being told that the car was fitted with CNG. Police station in-charge Jahangirabad says that the matter of fire in the car has come to notice. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
