Pagers hacked? Hezbollah panics!

Hundreds of members of Hezbollah, which has been declared a terrorist organization by the US, use pagers for messaging. Using technology in these pagers, they were hacked and explosions were carried out.

Hezbollah blamed Israel for these attacks and said that they will punish it. In a statement it said that the enemy will definitely be punished for this attack. We will continue to fully support the struggle of Palestine. No statement has come from Israel yet.

There was chaos after the attack, high alert

  • After the explosions in the pagers, there was chaos in the southern areas of Beirut. Many ambulances were seen rushing towards hospitals.
  • Hundreds of Hezbollah members were injured by explosions in their pagers in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Hezbollah’s stronghold in south Lebanon and the eastern Bekaa Valley.
  • Meanwhile, an AFP correspondent said that dozens of ambulances were seen running in both directions between the cities of Tyre and Sidon.
  • Lebanon’s Health Ministry said in a statement that all hospitals in the areas around the places where people were injured have been asked to remain on high alert. They have been asked to increase their preparations.
  • Also, all health workers have been asked to immediately go to their workplaces for help. Along with this, the Lebanese Red Cross is also on high alert.

Political support and opposition

Hezbollah is an armed organization in Lebanon. It is a political and military force here, which is supported by Iran. Hezbollah supports Hamas and Palestine, with whom Israel has been at war in Gaza since October 2023. Hezbollah has been declared a terrorist organization by the US, while the European Union has also banned it.

Why a pager in the age of mobile phones?

Hezbollah’s strongholds in Lebanon have been badly affected by this attack. According to AFP, Hezbollah has its own telecommunication system and after the Gaza war began, it had asked its members to avoid using mobile phones. In such a situation, its members use pagers for communication.

According to security sources, the pagers which exploded were of the latest model. Hezbollah has claimed that this is the biggest security breach till date. Hezbollah said that all the pagers exploded almost at the same time. Israel has violated their communication network.

The situation will get more serious in the future!

The Israeli army has refused to comment on these blasts. Iran’s Mehr news agency said that Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani has also been injured. This incident is the first of its kind.

The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, after which the war in Gaza started. Since then, Hezbollah has carried out several attacks against Israel in support of Hamas.

Hezbollah, stunned by these pager explosions, has said that it will continue to support Palestine and will take revenge for this attack from Israel.
