The Supreme Court has taken a tough stand on the Kolkata rape murder case. On Tuesday (August 20), the Supreme Court asked tough questions to the Mamata government and the state police. The Supreme Court has also sought a stater report from the CBI on this matter. Let us tell you that the next hearing on this case will be on Thursday.
The Supreme Court made these strong comments
- The Supreme Court bench said that a trainee doctor was treated like an animal at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
- We are forming a national task force. The job of this force will be to study the condition of hospitals and the safety of doctors and give us its suggestions. Clearly, a task force has been formed.
- Justice JB Pardiwala, in the three-judge committee headed by the Chief Justice of India, asked who was the complainant in the first FIR in this case and what was its timing?
- The Chief Justice remarked, ‘The family received the body at 8:30 pm and an FIR was filed on the father’s complaint at 11:45 pm. What was the hospital doing?’
Bengal government’s lawyer said this
The Bengal government’s lawyer in the Supreme Court said, ‘We had formed a medical court as per the wishes of the family and we had also sent a complaint to the police at 2.30 pm.’ However, it does not seem easy to answer the direct questions of the Supreme Court.
