2024 ICC Women T20 World Cup: Two matches on the first day… Scotland will face Bangladesh

Indore (2024 ICC Women T20 World Cup). The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is going to start in the UAE from today. Earlier this tournament was to be held in Bangladesh, but due to violence caused by political instability, it had to be shifted to UAE.

The opening match of the tournament will be between Bangladesh and Scotland. The world is also eyeing the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match to be held today. The Australian team is currently the T20 World Champion, which has to defend its title. The Indian team is also considered to be the biggest contender.

What time will the Women’s T20 World Cup matches start

  • The matches of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm Indian time. 7 matches will be held in the afternoon, while the timing of 16 matches will be from 7:30 pm. India’s matches will be held at 7:30 pm.
  • The Women’s T20 World Cup will be broadcast on Star Sports Network in India. Also, live streaming will be available on the Disney+Hotstar app and website. For this, a subscription of Disney+Hotstar will be required.
  • All the teams have been divided into two groups. Group A has teams from India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. While Group B will have teams from England, South Africa, West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland.
  • In the Women’s World Cup, every team has to play 4 matches in the group stage. The top 2 teams in the points table will advance to the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played on October 17 and the second on October 18.
  • The final will be played in Dubai on October 20. The Indian team has not won any World Cup so far. The Australian team has been the champion 6 times. England and West Indies have won the title once each.
